A productive end to my week

Well, I have to say that as far as weeks go, this one wasn't bad.  I think I easily made up for being sick all last week by being pretty productive all this week.

The only thing I don't have under control quite yet is my sleeping schedule.  I am hoping that this weekend -- which is going to force me to get up earlier -- will help to rectify that, or that getting off the cold medicine will help.  Last night was my first night not taking it, but I stayed up so late working that I wasn't able to get up as early as I wanted today.  I did get up a little earlier than the rest of the week, but not by much.

Last night, however, made me question my daily schedule and my plan to get up earlier and work during the day.  I had a very productive night last night, more so than any morning (read: early afternoon) this week.  I finished quite a bit of client work, posted to several of my own blogs, and sent off cover letters and resumes to several potential freelance jobs.  It made me wonder if I shouldn't be planning on spending my evenings working -- since I seem to function best at night -- and use my mornings and early afternoons (i.e., before work) as free time, kind of a reverse from a normal person's schedule.

I do see some conflicts happening if I try that sort of schedule, mainly with my social life; plus, I do want to use my Tuesdays and Thursdays off for freelancing come mid-October (assuming I don't have to replace those hours with another nanny or babysitting job).  So for now I'm going to continue to strive for the daily schedule I laid out for myself last month.  But if it doesn't seem to be working, or if some days (like yesterday) I need to reverse things, I might go to a more flexible freelancing schedule instead.

The nice thing about freelancing, after all, is that I can plan my work schedule around when I am the most productive, right?
