First full day of freelancing

By Katharine Swan On Tuesday, October 21, 2014 At 1:34 PM

This week is when my nanny schedule changes, and today is my first full day of freelancing.  I have a lot I want to get done today, basically getting organized for a new chapter in freelancing and the upcoming project for NaNoWriMo (although I still haven't fully settled on what that will be).

On the docket for today:

  • Client work -- a few posts and other projects
  • Marketing and blog maintenance
  • Clean and organize my desk
  • Work on website updates -- if there's still time
The website updates are something I've wanted to do for a while but haven't gotten around to.  Since I'm marketing more now than I have in several years, my website being somewhat old is even more glaringly obvious than it was before.  I know I need to do it soon, because every day I continue to market with an out-of-date website, I'm risking damaging my image with potential new clients.

I have other things I want to get done today, of course, but those are the big ones.  Unfortunately I'm also feeling a bit distracted today, and I've already been at the computer for a couple hours without getting much of this done.

Time to buckle down and work.  I don't want to start my first week of my new schedule on the wrong foot!
